The Founder
Koston McCoy.
Solo. Owner-funded.
He spent five years failing his own standards.
Then he built the one that refused to forgive him.
The story
I tried every system.
Atomic Habits. Twice. Highlighted both copies. Still here.
75 Hard. Twice. Failed on Day 41 and Day 23. Told no one.
Whoop. MyFitnessPal. Streaks. Habitica. A paper journal for eighteen months. Accountability coaching at $400 a month. Three different men's groups. Quarterly OKRs I rewrote every twelve weeks. A vision board that hung above my desk for two and a half years.
Every single one of them forgave me. The streak froze when I missed a day. The coach said "you'll get it next time." The men's group celebrated my "trying." The vision board didn't move.
The forgiveness was the failure.
The idea.
Late 2025. I'm 26. Run two other businesses. A patriotic apparel brand. A peptide brand. Both real businesses, both profitable. But personally, I kept breaking the standards I'd set for myself in the dark.
I sat in my car one night after another failed week and asked: what's the one feature every habit app refuses to ship? An honest one. A reset that resets. A chain that doesn't forgive.
I went home, wrote three commitments on a sticky note, put it on the bathroom mirror, and held them for sixteen days before I broke. The next day I started Day One. I made it 31. Reset. Day One again. 47. Reset. Day One. 89. Reset. Day One.
By the time I hit a real chain. Months without a reset. The standard had become invisible. It wasn't motivation anymore. It was just what I did.
I knew at that moment this was the app.
The build.
Built solo. Owner-funded. No outside investors. No advisors taking equity. Designed every screen. Wrote every line of the manifesto. Curated the 60 quotes, 40 books, 35 workout templates, 78 exercises, 50 meals, 104 weekly community posts.
The Founder Class funds the first year. First 1,000 lifetime memberships at $199 to $499. After that, the monthly subscriptions pay for the build. We don't need ten million users. We need ten thousand right ones.
We will never sell your data. We will never bring in advertisers. We will never water down the chain reset to chase retention metrics. The day we do is the day we stop being The Standard.
The promise.
I will hold the line on this app the same way I want you to hold the line on your oath.
Owner-funded. Founder-led. Built in public. Voice locked. No outside investors. No accelerator. No "growth at all costs" pivot. The Standard is a 10-year build. Compounding.
Hold the line.
